To My Children, Grandchildren, Nieces and Nephews,

It is my hope that learning about the actions both large and small of your ancestors helps you to understand how you became uniquely you!

Love, Mom/Honey/Aunt Kathy

WELCOME TO “THE PILGRIMS CAME – Recently I was  matched through DNA to a great grandfather that I had been searching, for over twenty years.  I could’ve never imagined how far those results would take me, and that through him I would be connected to anything remotely historical, but boy was I wrong!  So you can  just imagine my shock  and  disbelief, when those same DNA results linked me to not only the great grandfather I was looking for, but also to 50+ Pilgrim Ancestors. These adventurers were among the 20,000 English men, woman and children who crossed the Atlantic to settle in New England between 1629-1640 “The Great Migration.”

My ANCESTORS might not have been on the Mayflower when it sailed in 1620, but they weren’t far behind!  They were Puritans who came from Old England to New England  seeking religious freedom.   Each one of these Pilgrim Settlers have their own unique story to tell, and because there’s so much history to be shared,  I hardly know where to begin! So I’ll start by introducing you to my 7X great grandfather, JOHN IRISH who emigrated from England to the Plymouth Colony in 1629……

SEE ANCESTRY BLOG – MAKE SURE YOU CLICK ON TO THE  POST  JOHN IRISH “THE IMMIGRANT” TO BEGIN.  FROM THERE READ UPWARD TO LATEST BLOG.

Note: Thank you to the genealogists who have been studying the Pilgrims for hundreds of years and as a result have published thousands of books and articles on “The Great Migration.” A special thanks to all the members of Ancestry.com who have shared their extensive research on JOHN IRISH “THE IMMIGRANT,” and his descendants. I’m making every effort to put all the information I’ve accumulated on my ancestors in an accurate timeline, however my interpretation of those findings and my personal opinions expressed on “The Pilgrims Came” are entirely my own.
